Maggie, I enjoyed exploring your resources. I especially liked the personal stories posted by parents about their children and how early intervention helped them. I also liked that it had videos you could watch and I found the article on brain development very interesting. Keeps me motivated with my young daughter knowing I need to make sure I motivate and engage them all the time.
ReplyDeleteMaggie, I enjoyed reading Pennsylvania's Promise for Children. I find it interesting that Pre-K is offered to students at risk of "school failure" in Pennsylvania. I teach Pre-K in a very wealthy town in Connecticut and most of our students are referred to as "Gift of a Year" students. They are in the program because their parents want them to be home longer, or perfect their reading and writing prior to kindergarten to they will be ahead of the other students. It's interesting to see how different demographics have varying expectations of their students. Thank you for sharing!
